Meet Our Founder: Kristen Damery

As a Pelvic Health Physical Therapist, I have the pleasure of spending time with women across all ages. Naturally, we discuss what brought them to see me but one thing I hear almost every day is how nervous they are to discuss their sexual wellness. I question, “why is that?”

With my medical background and desire to encourage intimacy, I set out to create a way for women to feel comfortable with pursuing wellness. Does personal lubricant take all the barriers away? Absolutely NOT but it does provide a fun, safe and adventurous way to begin exploring what makes women’s needs so unique.

Why do I need Lava personal lubricant?

Our personal lubricant is intended to enhance your intimacy in any way you decide. Lava reduces friction and improves pleasure during sexual encounters, drizzle a little over areas of skin to skin contact to create a more sensual experience, start with your nipples and thank us later.

Does Lava contain any animal products?

Lava personal lubricant is free from animal based products.

Is Lava ok to use for oral sex?

While Lava is non-toxic and not harmful if ingested we do not recommend consuming large amounts. Please consult your physician if further questions arise.

What if I don't have vaginal dryness?

Lava is not only intended to address dryness but improve pleasure during any intimate experience. Apply it to a condom to increase glide and prolong integrity. Use it for a body massage to condition the skin and introduce a little foreplay. One of our favorite uses is under water, try it out, you'll see.

Can Lava be used with condoms?

Lava is compatible with natural rubber latex, polyurethane, and polyisoprene condoms.

Is Lava FDA cleared?

YES, Lava personal lubricant is made in the USA and is FDA 510(k) cleared as a Class II medical device.

Is Lava safe to use with adult toys?

Lava can be used with glass (caution: super slippery), rubber and hard plastic toys. Please avoid use with silicone toys as it will ultimately degrade the silicone and make it unfit for use.

Is Lava ok to use when trying to conceive?

Although Lava has undergone rigorous safety testing. Our recommendation is to use Lava externally when trying to conceive. Lava can continue to keep the bedroom spicy and fun during this time. Please consult your physician if further questions arise.
